5 Wrestling Podcasts to Listen to on Wrestlemania Weekend
With the extremely altered version of Wrestlemania just around the corner, and as WWE scramble to keep up with AEW, it seems like a good time to do a diving moonsault into the world of wrestling podcasts.
Talk Is Jericho
It would be rude not to begin with Le Champion. Chris Jericho has been wrestling for a long time and unsurprisingly is well able to run his mouth on a variety of subjects. Admittedly I have dipped in and out of this show over the 6+ years it has been online, but with his newfound leadership role in AEW, his podcast has come into its own.
He will still wax lyrical about metal music for a whole episode from time to time, which is fine. But his episodes with fellow wrestlers are in a different class. Jericho is a wrestling historian, a charismatic speaker, and very much at the top of his game in wrestling. The man could — and indeed has — cut a promo with an inanimate object.
The episodes with his fellow wrestlers are a fascinating insight into their creative minds, the shared war stories they all have about trying to make it, and the stranger than fiction reality that is the behind the scenes goings on in WWE and beyond.
