Aaron Mahnke’s Cabinet of Curiosities Podcast Review

The Product:

Aaron Mahnke is a podcast professional. After creating the media behemoth that is Lore, he launched the Cabinet of Curiosities in 2018 and his experience and available resources mean that the podcast hit the ground running.

Each episode usually clocks in at around 10 minutes, with two impeccably produced stories covered. Spoiler alert: there’s often a twist in the tale.

If you even dabble in the kind of informational ‘odd stories’ type of podcast then you might have heard some of the topics before, but it is fascinating how Mahnke can distill a sprawling story down to a five minute summary.

Everything about the show is slick, from the audio production, to the delivery by the host. If you’re looking for a podcast that feels like listening in to a casual chat then this isn’t it. But if you want a shot of straight story, then the Cabinet might be your poison.

If you can fall asleep in 10 minutes then absolutely yes.
