Beef and Dairy Network Podcast Review

--

The Pitch:

The number one podcast for those involved or just interested in the production of beef animals and dairy herds.

The Product:

This is a monthly, impeccably-produced, radio feature style podcast about the apparently dense and diverse world of beef and dairy. It wouldn’t be out of place on the airwaves of the British Broadcasting Corporation and it is, if it wasn’t clear, a brilliantly written comedy.

I’ve only recently taken the plunge into the meaty, milk-saturated world of the BADN, but I am obsessed. Is it a coincidence or by design that the writer has the surname Partridge? I don’t know, and I don’t really care!

Each episode tackles a hot and highly specific issue from the world of beef and dairy. This may be a feature on cow-related incidents in history, a report on some of the seemingly endless events held by the beef industry, or an investigation into nefarious influences on society, like lamb.

Pay attention and stick with it. Parts that verge on the surreal usually will pay off with a punchline that zips by you like a startled Friesian in a gently sloping pasture. Ads that are funny by themselves have tags added on the following week.
