That’s right, we’re back with another series from Podcasteroid fave, Jamie Loftus! You may know her from her work on podcasts like The Bechdel Cast, or from the internet in general (ever heard of it?).

This is a new podcast (as of May 2024) that releases weekly and focuses on the internet’s most viral main characters. It revisits famous internet moments and explores what happened next, with interviews from experts and the people themselves, if they are willing. And fans of Loftus will be unsurprised to learn that there is a healthy dose of seeking to uncover “why” the internet pushed these people to various levels of fame, and what that says about the internet, and by extension, us.

Does that sound a little heavy? Well, my friend, that’s because it is a little heavy. The internet is a weird place, amplifying the best and worst of us, and often in a way that is out of our control. That’s right, this podcast features algorithim-talk *air horn*.
