The Dumbbells Podcast Review

--

The Pitch:

A fitness podcast where two comedians guide your life towards Training Dirty, Eating Clean and Living In-Between.

The Product:

Eugene Cordero and Ryan Stanger are two bro-adjacent comedians who are not doctors — seriously, they can’t stress that enough — but have a whole bunch of good advice when it comes to getting your body and your life in shape.

Each week they bring on a comedian and/or actor to talk about their relationship with fitness and their goals for the future. Or at least that was the premise. Now, they are, like the rest of us trying to figure out life in the new normal.

And so what was a very grounded, often funny, fitness podcast is now turning into something more valuable — advice on how to stay fit, and sane, during quarantine.

You probably have to be in the mood for this, just a little. It can be hard to motivate yourself to exercise, so the same can be said for a fitness podcast. But every episode has straightforward advice that is motivating, even subconsciously.

And it’s a podcast, so soon you’ll be in on their jokes, lives, hopes, aspirations…it’s a podcast, you get it.

Can You Sleep To It?

I mean, after the intro, maybe. And they do recommend you getting solid sleep as part of your overall wellbeing.

Recommended Episode:

They’re still figuring remote podcasting out, so don’t judge them too harshly, but check out the latest episode.
