Thirty Twenty Ten Podcast Review
The Premise:
A pop culture time machine!
The Product:
Part of the Laser Time Network, Thirty Twenty Ten takes you back to the 80s, 90s, and 00s on an exploration of TV, music and movies. Each week they check out and discuss what was released on the same week thirty, twenty, and ten years ago. You get it.
Podcast powerhouse Chris Antista is joined by Diana and Sarah, who manage to curb some of his more questionable (aka faux edgy) jokes and the show has gone from strength to strength in recent months as a result, with a funnier, more focused product being released weekly(ish).
Diana is a wealth of old Hollywood knowledge and Sarah brings a much needed sense of fun fandom to counterbalance the stacks of facts and occasional dark news content that could otherwise bog down an episode. The trio work well together and there are very few recesses of pop culture information that they can’t cover with confidence.
Every week is a blend of nostalgia and a re-appraisal of old content — mostly movies and TV — and the hosts watch a ton of media so you don’t have to!
So if you want to reminisce, and get some recommendations from the past few decades that you might have missed, then pull up a metaphorical chair and start browsing your VHS, DVD, and MKV collections for their picks!
Can You Sleep To It?
Nope. There’s clips and jokes scattered throughout.
